Ceremony of graduation of 10th. Promotion of Young Gardeners

The ceremony of graduation of the 10th group of young gardeners from the social support program was executed on December 11, 2006. The British Community Trust carries out that program with the support of Jardines de la Paz with the collaboration of CEDRO.

We specially thank for the British Embassy that supports of generous way this cause financing the course that allowed us help eight young people, Now they are more eighty young people help for this program. Distinguished Mrs. Catherine Nettleton, British Ambassador in Peru, gave to the Certificates of Qualification and basic tool kit of gardening to our young people graduated during the graduation ceremony.

This ceremony counted on the presence of Miss Sian Herschel, General Manager of the Camara de Comercio Peruvian. - British, Mr. Tom Malcomson, Manager of the Cultural Association Peruvian - British, and Mr. Alejandro Vassilaqui of CEDRO.

Between the assistants also they were the Director of the Municipalidad de la Molina, Engineer Luis Chumbe; Mr. Pedro Polo, Ex- Mayor of La Molina and the elect Mayor of Santiago de Surco, Mr. Juan Manuel del Mar; the Directors of the Asociación de Propietarios de Rinconada Alta as well as of the Rotary Club of La Molina; doctor Luis Bedoya Vivanco and of means of press Mrs. Maria Teresa Braschi and Mr. Jesus Alzamora, and others.



Visit of the ambassadors Richard Ralph and John Illman

On 3 of February 2006 we received the visit of the ambassadors Richard Ralph and John Illman accompanied by yours wife Jemma Ralph and Liz Illman to commemorate the 5 years of the Agreement of Cooperation between The British Community Trust and Jardines de la Paz, whose objective has been to offer a program of labor training to originating young people of Houses Home of CEDRO and CIMA in the gardening area a duration of 6 months, during which the young people have received a remuneration, feeding, tools and their respective uniforms.

Also, in the Cemetery of the Molina the graduation of the first student of "On The Job Training" , this course that involves the areas of gardening, electricity and painting with a duration of 10 months. At the moment 10 young people in the Cemeteries of the Molina and Lurín are in qualification process.

Thanks to the contribution of the British government will become qualified 10 young people more, as of the second semester of the present year. Already they are more than 50 young people training this successful project.


 
   
   
Ceremony of graduation of 6th Promotion of Young Gardeners

The ceremony of graduation of the sixth group of young gardeners from the social support program was executed on October 3, 2005. The British Community Trust carries out that program with the support of Jardines de la Paz. Thanks to this successful project it has been possible to help more than 50 young people from young people's home.

For second consecutive time, the British Ambassador's wife in Peru, Mrs. Jemma Ralph, accompanied us in the ceremony of graduation. We are grateful to her especially because of the support and enthusiasm that were demonstrated by her in the accomplishment of this social program.

Also it is necessary to stand out the presence of the Association Help with Love's president, Mrs. Maria Teresa Varnimont, the Belgium ambassador's wife in Peru, as well as the presence of Mrs. Claret Maygualida de Díaz, the Panama ambassador's wife in Peru, who is collaborating with the project directly

Advanced training course culminates thanks to the contribution of the British Embassy.

On February 22nd. 2005, the British Ambassador, Mr. Richard Ralph and his wife Jemma were invited to the Graduation ceremony of the theoretical/practical gardening training course for ten youngsters. This course was financed thanks to a donation from the British Embassy
   

Mr. Gareth Hughes, President of The British Community Trust, Mr. Alejandro Vassilaqui, General Manager of Cedro, Mr. Rolando Paredes, Operations Manager of La Molina Cemetery and Mr. Carlos Bush, in charge of the training course, also took part in the ceremony.

   

The cemeteries of La Molina and Lurìn, for a period of 6 months. served as training centers . During this time, the students received a monthly salary, lunch and working uniforms. At the end of the course, the 10 students were presented with a set of gardening tools

   

We are confident, that after this training, these boys will be able to joing the working community.

Visit of the Britain ambassador to our cemeteries..

On February 24th 2003 the Britain ambassador John Illman has visited our facilities. He is the representative of The British Community Trust that sponsors many projects for the social benefit of the Latin American countries.



The ambassador was invited to see our cemetery facilities in La Molina when a training program for young men from children homes of Cedro and Cima.

They were also present the CEO of Jardines de la Paz Mr. Enrique Anderson accompanied by Mr. Gareth Hughes, Mr. Alejandro Vassilaqui, representative of CEDRO, Ing. Rolando Paredes, manager of the cemetery and Ing Bush, responsible of the instruction and training of the young men in gardening and building jobs..
